World Championships Beijing Day 6: Milanov qualifies for Discus final

Day 6 of the championships did not involve finals competition for any the Personae-managed athletes, but the three who were in action, all advanced to the next round of their respective events.

In the men’s Discus, Philip Milanov with a throw of 63.85m on his last of three attempts, placed 8th overall in the combined results from the two qualifying groups, to secure his first career World Championship finals to be held on 30-August.  Milanov’s performance in the qualifying competition closely matched his current rank of 9th on the men’s Discus world chart, based on his national record throw of 66.66 from Leuven on 8-August.

The two other athletes advancing from their heats to the semi-final rounds were Pieter-Jan Hannes in the 1500m (4th in 3:39.31) and Anne Zagre in the 100m Hurdles (3rd in 12.90).
