Krause and Milanov earn athlete-of-the year national awards

Gesa Felicitas Krause on 15. November was named 2015 Women’s Runner of the Year by Deutsche Leichtathletik Verband, Germany’s track & field federation.  She is the first Personae-managed athlete to receive such honor from the German national federation.  Krause’s top moment in ’15 came at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing, when she captured the bronze medal in the 3000m Steeplechase.  Her time of 9:19.25 in that race topped the ’15 European chart, was 8th on the world chart, and moved Krause to 2nd on the Germany All-Time list for the event.  Other top performances by Krause in ’15 included her 2000m Steeplechase national record of 6:04.20 in her 3rd place performance at ISTAF Berlin and her 6th place time of 9:20.15 at the IAAF Diamond League Monaco 3000m Steeplechase.

Philip Milanov on 5. December was awarded the Golden Spike, signifying the recognition of 2015 Sportsman of the Year by the Belgian track & field federation, the first such honor given to a Personae-managed male athlete since 2012 (Hans Van Alphen, 4th – London Games Decathlon).  Milanov during the ’15 season improved his own national record of 66.02m (established in 2014) on three occasions – 66.43m (Kessel-Lo), 66.66m (Leuven), and the 66.90m silver medal performance at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing.  Finally, Milanov also scored IAAF Diamond League points in London (1st) and Stockholm (2nd), resulting in a 3rd place finish in the final 2015 Diamond League Discus points standings.
