The two medals earned by Rose Chelimo and Kipyegon Bett in London were one short of the three medals earned by Personae-managed athletes at the previous IAAF world championships in Beijing (2015); however, the medals in China were silver (1) and bronze (2). With nine top-10 finishes, the London group surpassed the show of depth by the ’15 Beijing group, which produced eight top-10 finishes.
The nine top-10 finishers in London were: Rose Chelimo (Olympic Champion – Marathon); Kipyegon Bett (Bronze medal – 800m); Alice Aprot Nawowuna (4th – 10000m); Ruth Jebet (5th – 3000m Steeplechase); Eunice Kirwa (6th – Marathon); Celliphine Chespol (6th – 3000m Steeplechase); Winfred Yavi (8th – 3000m Steeplechase); Gesa Krause (9th – 3000m Steeplechase); and Purity Kirui (10th – 3000m Steeplechase).
