Cheroben’s performance in Valencia tops ’15 half marathon world chart

Abraham Cheroben‘s return to the 2015 Medio Maraton de Valencia produced the same outcome as in 2014: a world-leading performance over the half marathon distance (59:10), to go along with his already-established world no. 1 mark for 25 km (1:12:31) set in Berlin in May.  The corresponding world chart-topping results for Cheroben in 2014 were 58:48 (Valencia) and 1:11:46 (Berlin).  This time around in Valencia, Cheroben had a winning margin of 42 seconds over runner-up Matthew Kisorio (59:52), followed by 3rd placer Dawit Weldesilasie (1:00:26).  Also competing in Valencia were Kenneth Kipkemoi (12th in 1:01:54) and Leonard Patrick Komon (16th in 1:02:53).
