Bett and Milanov post 4th place finishes at Diamond League final in Brussels

The Memorial Ivo Van Damme, celebrating its 41th edition in Brussels’ King Baudouin Stadium, once again served as the 14th and final stop on the 2017 IAAF Diamond League circuit.

Kipyegon Bett‘s 4th place finish in the Brussels 800m (1:45.21) wrapped up a career-best season, highlighted by his bronze medal performance at the IAAF World Championships in London, to go along with his four top-2 finishes on this year’s Diamond League circuit.  Bett’s 800m season best of 1:44.04 (in winning the Kenyan world championship trials) ranks him 6th on the event’s 2017 world chart.

The 4th place result for Philip Milanov in the Brussels discus throw (64.76m) also wrapped up a strong season in which he posted five top-4 finishes on the Diamond League circuit, as well as throwing beyond 66 meters in a career-high five different competitions.  Milanov’s season best of 67.05m (DL Stockholm) also ranks him 6th on this eason’s discus world chart.

Other Personae athletes competing in Brussels included Ferguson Rotich in the 800m (5th in 1:45.25), Nicholas Bett in the 3000m SC (6th in season best 8:12.20), Alfred Kipketer in the 800m (6th in 1:46.27), Vincent Letting in the 1500m (6th in 3:41.15), Tarik Moukrime in the 1500m (10th in 3:44.11), and Fanny Smets in the Pole Vault (12th in 4.45m).
