Day 2 of the ’25 Track & Field World Championships in Tokyo saw nine Golazo-managed athletes in action, with two of them securing spots in their respective event finals.
In the men’s High Jump qualification round, Thomas Carmoy’s clearance of 2.25m advanced him to the event final and equaled the best clearance height among all thirteen finalists. In the women’s 1500m semi-final round, Freweyni Hailu fell early in the race, but quickly got back up and steadily advanced through the field to finish 2nd (4:01.03), securing a spot in the event final.
Other Golazo-managed athletes in action on Day 2 included Reynold Kipkorir, 4th in his 1500m heat (3:41.17) and advancing to the 1500m semi-finals; Tshepo Tshite, 6th in his 1500m heat (3:36.36) and advancing to the 1500m semi-finals; Jochem Vermeulen, 8th in his 1500m heat (3:37.33); Charles Grethen, 12th in his 1500m heat (3:41.18); Rose Loga, 13th in the Hammer Throw qualification round; Bianca Ghelber, 17th in the Hammer Throw qualification round; and Sutume Asefa Kebede, 27th in the women’s marathon (2:35:30).
